The newest first-class mobile from communications top dog Telstra, the Telstra Signature Premium is a no brain purchase for current Telstra customers looking to upgrade their handset, or those who are looking to switch service providers. Released in April, 2016, the phone represents a change in direction for Telstra's mobile devices department. While Telstra have brought out many Telstra branded cheapie models in the past, this new phone heralds a new initiative from the company which brings premium quality products to its customers all under the Telstra brand name banner. Telstra haven't manufactured the device themselves - they've simply brought in trusted partners to produce the phones for them. Industry mainstay, and up and comer eyeing off Apple and Samsung's top two listings, HTC, are the production partner that Telstra chose to bring on board with this latest development. HTC have been bringing out some truly powerful and aesthetically pleasing smart phones for some time now. HTC's One A9 was released in late 2015, and the Telstra Signature Premium appears to be an almost direct rebranding of the One A9 for Telstra customers. This is good news for consumers - the One A9 is a great piece of kit, which also manages to look very similar to the iPhone 6S, but without the massive price point to boot. While it's not quite the processing powerhouse of some other smartphones (but it's nothing to sneeze at, either!), the looks of the Signature Premium really do put it ahead of the pack. |
