The iPad Air 3 Alpha cradles come in two varieties, Professional Installed or DIY. The package contents vary depending on which version you select. The DIY install is powered by plugging the cradle into your vehicle's cigarette lighter connection whilst the professional installed version is hard wired into your vehicle's wiring system by a trained professional installer or auto electrician. The car cradle, like the rest of the Alpha cradle range, has an internal passive antenna specifically incorporated within the cradle. This helps to improve your mobile signal once used with an external antenna. The cradle has an FME male connector so it can be connected to one of our external antennas.
